You’ll find them die stamped on the top rear of the peghead, and they are a sequence of between three and five numbers. It's easy to date your guitar with the serial number on your Gibson today. EDIT - I just found the serial number in the pictures - back of the headstock, but since I bought the Midnight Ebony color the number doesn't show clearly in the picture.
